Veterinary Border Inspection Post
The EU Border Inspection Post (BIP) at Munich Airport checks all imports and transits of small animals and animals’ products from non EU-countries.
Modern infrastructure
Since June 2007 Munich Airport has a new veterinary Border Inspection Post with an additional department for small animals. Animals and animals’ products, which arrive at MUC from non EU-countries are being checked in that modern facility by veterinary specialists.
The European Union Border Inspection Post at Munich Airport is responsible for:
- Protecting the public health
- Prevention of new epidemics in Europe
- Checks on transport and warehouse conditions
- Checks on appropriate conditions for animal transports
