Airport joins Bavarian Environmental Pact
Bavarian Environmental Pact
Since it was signed in 1995, the Bavarian Environmental Pact has developed into an exemplary approach to environmental protection. It is based on voluntary action, individual responsibility and cooperation.
Objectives of the Bavarian Environmental Pact
The main objectives are to boost innovation and foster economic growth in harmony with the environment and guided by the principle of sustainability.
Munich Airport will again be involved in the new Bavarian Environmental Pact because environmental protection is a vital objective of responsible business policy.
As a participant, we want to deliver specific services related to environmental protection which meet the qualitative and quantitative objectives and contents of the pact and go beyond the regulatory requirements.
The declared goal is to continually improve environmental protection within company operations.

The Bavarian Environmental Pact generates impetus for new paths, methods and spheres of activity with the objective of fostering sustainable development in Bavaria.
Key areas under the Environmental Pact are climate and energy, sustainable mobility, environmental technology and resource efficiency.
The overarching goal is to improve the ecological, economic and social foundation for today's and tomorrow's generations in Bavaria.
Munich Airport can readily identify with these goals and therefore believes that its participation in the pact will yield mutual benefits.
