For a relaxed wait...
Napcab sleeping cabins
Passengers with a little longer to wait at Munich Airport can now try a new concept for whiling away the time: Napcab sleeping cabins are a perfect way of finding some privacy and beating jetlag.
Relax before your next flight
The Napcab was developed by students at TUM, Munich's renowned university of science and technology. In cooperation with Munich Airport and TUM's entrepreneurship unit, their idea was turned into a marketable concept.
The Napcabs are located in the non-public area of Terminal 2 on Level 05, near gate H32.
These innovative pods have a comfortable bed to get some sleep or just relax until departure time with music and the lighting set to the desired level. There is also a small desk and free Internet access.
Napcabs can be booked directly on location. Unfortunately reservations are not possible at present. Payment is by credit card.
One hour in a Napcab costs €15 in the daytime and €10 at night, with a minimum charge of €30.

"Dozing off... at the highest standard of comfort"
At the official presentation, Munich Airport's CEO Dr Michael Kerkloh had high praise for the new concept: "At Munich Airport the passenger has many attractive options to choose from to make the best possible use of time before the departure of a connecting flight. What has not been available before now was a quiet area of one's own for a more passive waiting mode. Just stretching out for a couple of hours and getting some sleep – that was never quite possible in the transfer area. These new cabins will allow passengers to doze off at the highest standard of comfort, behind a closed door that will preserve their privacy – and their sleep."
