MUC’s Border Inspection Post with its department for small animals fulfills all hygienic standards of the European Union.
The Border Inspection Post has the permission of the EU to handle the following goods:
- Human consumption (HC): packed or covered food at ambient air temperature, cooled or frozen
- Non Human Consumption (NHC): packed or covered non-food at ambient air temperature, cooled or frozen
- Live Animals (LA): small and zoological animals (e.g. dogs, cats, birds, ornamental fish, reptiles, one day old chicken, breeding eggs); small hoofed animals
The facility
The Border Inspection Post covers a total area of 1,500 sqm with several temperature controlled zones for handling different products of Human Consumptions, Non Human Consumptions and Live Animals.
The building of the Border Inspection Post can be expanded easily at any time not only for veterinary goods but also with separate modules for fruits, vegetables, flowers and pharmaceutical products.
