Two locations for the fastest possible response
Fire stations
Both fire stations have the required quantities of extinguishing materials for a Category 9 airport distributed over three large airport fire engines as well as two large airport fire engines for fire protection in the apron areas.

Onsite within three minutes
Feuerwache Süd mit Tower und Vorfeld im Hintergrund
The airport fire department has two locations: the southern and the northern fire stations. These two locations ensure that the maximum intervention time of three minutes can be achieved on the two runways (offset: 2300 meters; length: both runways 4000 meters) and the flight operation areas (taxiways, park positions and maintenance hangars) under ideal visibility and surface conditions.

In addition to aircraft fire protection crews, three crews are responsible for technical support and protection against fires in airport buildings.
