  1. Breathing apparatus workshop The technicians at the breathing apparatus workshop are responsible for inspecting, maintaining and cleaning the 100 pieces of breathing equipment, full protective clothing, radiation suits, measurement devices and roll-off containers (including roll-off containers for hazardous materials).
    They are also responsible for the technology of the breathing apparatus practice facility, in particular changes, additions and optimization.

  2. Hose workshop The fire hose workshop is responsible for inspecting and maintaining 716 high-pressure hoses and a range of fittings and other equipment for drawing, distributing and pumping water. This also includes the roll-off container for hoses with its supplies and equipment.

  3. Equipment workshop Employees in the equipment safety workshop are responsible for maintaining and repairing firefighting equipment subject to mandatory inspections required by manufacturers and statutory regulations.

  4. Small equipment workshop This section is responsible for vehicle equipment, including maintenance and inspections. In addition, the employees inspect equipment for which logs must be kept and the extinguishing water wells with their pumps (TS 8/8). In addition, they provide training in the use of small equipment.

  6. Fire extinguisher workshop Approximately 4200 fire extinguishers of all types require regular maintenance. At the aircraft park positions, 165 50kg BC powder extinguishers are in place. In addition to regular maintenance, the apron extinguishers are visually inspected once a week.

  7. Breathing apparatus – practice facility The breathing apparatus training facility is in compliance with the latest regulations. The fire department conducts regular practice sessions here.

  8. Extinguishing material store Sufficient powder is stored in the extinguishing materials warehouse to fill the vehicles twice after incident responses or practice sessions.
    This also includes two roll-off containers for foam. This ensures that 12,000 liters of ARFF foam is available for rapid response mobile deployment.

  9. Clothing The staff of the clothing storeroom are responsible for the care, repair, cleaning and management of the clothing of nearly 200 firefighters. Each firefighter makes constant use of approximately 50 items of clothing. The very expensive fire response clothing is washed in the fire station. Other clothing and the uniforms are cleaned by an offsite laundry. The main tasks of the clothing storeroom team are small repairs and the daily issue of clothing.
