Munich’s Economic History and Royal Past are the Focus of Its New City Tours
During this walk, Munich’s official tour guides will shed light on Munich’s economic history, explaining the city’s former role as the most important place for salt handling and industrialization in the 19th century. Another guided tour from the Munich Tourist Office is dedicated to King Ludwig II. During the three-hour “In the footsteps of King Ludwig II” tour, guests can see Ludwig’s native room in Castle Nymphenburg. Other highlights are visits to the Residence, the Marstallmuseum with Ludwig’s coaches, and the church Michaelskirche, King Ludwig’s final resting place. Tours are offered in 29 languages.
