Munich Airport is around 30 kilometers north-east of Munich in the Erdinger Moos district within a short distance of Freising. By car it can be reached in around 30 minutes via the A92 Munich-Deggendorf autobahn.
The S-Bahn lines S1 and S8 both serve the airport. They both depart every 20 minutes. The journey to the airport takes about 45 minutes from the main station or 30 minutes from the Ostbahnhof.
