With amplimind, a joint venture of AUDI and Lufthansa Industry Solutions, another company has chosen to locate at the LabCampus, the innovation hub at Munich Airport. At the company’s new headquarters, it will intensively advance the digitalization of the mobility industry.
Albert Füracker, the Bavarian state secretary for finance – representing Dr. Markus Söder, the Chairman of the Munich Airport Supervisory Board – commented: "With LabCampus, Bavaria – which is now already among the leaders in the most respected rankings of places to do business – will become even more attractive. For us, this forward-looking project will ideally complement our clustering policy for high-tech industries and other key sectors. It will showcase a successful and prosperous Bavaria of the future."
The amplimind team expects to start work in the offices at the LabCampus in the first quarter of 2024. After moving into a space of 550 m² right by Munich Airport, around 65 employees will work here on developing digital solutions for the future viability of the mobility industry. The key areas include software development for enterprise IT, the operation of strategic applications, and various consulting services relating to IT security and cloud platform development.
After AirportAcademy, Deutsche Flugsicherung DFS, and ARGO AI, the joint venture of AUDI and Lufthansa Industry Solutions is now the fourth tenant from the field of research and technology that has deliberately opted for the collaborative, innovation-promoting approach at the LabCampus.
In addition, the intended location of the Technical University of Munich’s Department of Aerospace and Geodesy here represents another important milestone in the development of the LabCampus.
LAB 48, where amplimind will move into its future offices, is one of two buildings on the site that have already been completed. Its highly flexible layout allows space to be individually geared toward the needs and wishes of the tenants, in this case toward amplimind’s “remote-first” hybrid work model. The floor plan, interior, and fittings can also be adapted to changes in the future, thus providing the ideal framework for dynamic work models and agile processes.

Bettina Bernhardt, Managing Director of amplimind, is also looking forward to the future at the new location: “The modern and innovative environment at the LabCampus offers ideal conditions for putting networking concepts into practice and creating space for creativity and collaboration. We also have the possibility here to organize our space completely individually and in line with new work requirements – which is not something that can be taken for granted.” In addition, the spaciousness of the premises suits amplimind’s needs, as it allows the joint venture to expand its overall business further at the LabCampus and implement its core business of comprehensive IT development.
The LabCampus concept of creating an innovation hub for continuously growing interdisciplinary dialog between complementary experts and companies is becoming a reality. With its central location at the international hub Munich with almost 40 million passengers, LabCampus has excellent global connections.
On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, the entire LabCampus will be officially opened together with numerous guests from politics and business.
